This useful tool is called AddThis. AddThis is the world's largest content sharing platform. It allows website users to share content across the social web, and it also increases traffic to your websites. AddThis can also be used on WordPress, Blogger and Joomla and can also be easily installed in Adobe Flash and Apple iOS apps.

The purpose of AddThis is to allow users to share the information they find interesting with other users or just to keep it for themselves for a later date. You can choose what you would like on your AddThis feature depending on the type of sharing you want your users to participate in. With the click of a button, your blog posts, articles, or web pages can be shared with anyone all across the world.

Now, let’s get started with the simple step-by-step guide to putting AddThis on your website.

Step 1: Go to www.AddThis.com.

Step 2: Click on the bright orange Get AddThis button.
You will then be taken to a popup screen (see image below) to register.



Step 3: All you need to do is insert your email address (which will be used to sign in) and your password, then click Register! Note: It will give you an option to receive their monthly email newsletter, you can decide to do that if you would like.



Step 4: After clicking register you will be taken to the screen with the HTML code. Just copy the text by clicking the orange Grab It button and paste the code into your site template wherever you would like the AddThis feature to show up!





Note: Once you have registered you will receive an email from support@addthis.com explaining other helpful information.
